ALINDA ANCIENT CITY An Interesting Story about this city: Queen Ada of Ancient Caria was exiled to Alinda so made a treaty with Alexander. She would give him Alinda in case of occupy Halicarnassus, also wanted him to be her son. He took Halicarnassus & declared her queen. She became symbolically Mother of AlexanderTheGreat to express mutual respect.
